Jamie Wright Joins the NCWC Board of Directors

Blytheville, AR (July 31, 2025) - The National Cold War Center (NCWC) announced today that Jamie Wright, co-founder and executive director of The Alliance for Rural Impact (ARI), has joined the organization's board of directors.

Founded in 2017, ARI was created to serve rural communities in the Arkansas Delta with technical assistance focused on community equity.

“I’m honored to join the distinguished NCWC board and contribute to a project that will preserve history while serving as a catalyst for local engagement, education, and economic development,” said Wright.

Wright has served northeast Arkansas in various capacities for over 25 years. As the former Deputy Director of the East Arkansas Planning and Development District, she administered a $2.6 million HUD Regional Sustainability Planning Grant. She also serves on the board of the Arkansas State University Wesley Foundation and is a former member of the City of Harrisburg Economic Development Committee and the Crossroads Coalition’s Delta Leadership Development Committee.

“Jamie Wright’s deep understanding of rural development and civic engagement will be an invaluable asset as we move forward with NCWC’s key initiatives and partnerships,” said Dr. Christian Ostermann, executive director of the NCWC. “Her experience will help shape a vision that honors the past while creating new opportunities for the future.”
